Take the RetirAwareness Quiz The RAQ was developed in 2007 by InFRE retirement professionals and financial planning faculty from Texas Tech University (TTU) on behalf of the federal government as a standardized assessment for identifying employee retirement literacy education needs.

The RetirAwarenessQuiz is designed for employees or clients to assess their level of personal retirement literacy for making informed retirement planning decisions over the early, mid- and late phases of their career. Retirement professionals can use the RAQ in one-on-one counseling sessions to gain insight into what their clients understand and don't understand.

Employers and plan sponsors can use the Quiz as a guide for best practices in retirement education and to identify specific retirement planning (in addition to investment) education needs.  By evaluating the rolled up RAQ results completed by a representative employee base, it is possible to establish retirement literacy benchmarks for programs already in place, as well as determine current education program gaps.
